Low Birker Tarn.

 

Situated near the entrance to Neaum Crag Estate with views across Skelwith Bridge, Low Birker Tarn lodge commands a sunny, southerly aspect.  With private parking for two vehicles, guests can park up and leave on foot in all directions.  A short drive from many of the traditional Lakeland villages making it a great location to explore the countryside.

Enter to the hallway and to the open plan kitchen/dining area. With a modern and bright kitchen, including electric oven, induction hob, microwave oven, fridge with a freezer compartment and slim line dishwasher.  Dining table to seat 4.

The living area features a large 2-seater sofa and 2 comfy club chairs, Smart TV, Free Wi-Fi to help you plan your weeks adventures and double doors leading out to the graveled private patio where guests can sit back with a glass of wine in the evening watching the wildlife go about their business.

Low Birker Tarn features two bedrooms, the double bedroom has built in wardrobes, dresser unit, and views from the window to the patio and beyond. The second bedroom has bunk beds, which are perfect for the school holidays to accommodate 4.

The bathroom has a modern three-piece suite with shower cubicle with an electric shower, WC and wash hand basin. There is a mirror, with Bluetooth capability and an illuminated light and shaver point above the sink, a large electric towel rail and ample storage on a wooden shelving unit.
The property offers use of the onsite swimming pool open daily from 1st March - 15th November.

Set amongst the private Estate of Neaum Crag, Low Birker Tarn Lodge offers walking from all directions.  Why not park up and leave the car for your stay, with the Langdale Rambler 516 bus route a 10minute walk from the lodge which runs every hour within the main tourist season.

Easy access for walking to Elterwater along the river Brathay, visiting the Britannia Inn for a hearty pub meal and local real ale. Alternatively walking round Loughrigg tarn to Loughrigg fell leading to Ambleside within a 45-minute walk.

The Villages of Ambleside, Grasmere and Coniston are a few miles away. There are plenty of outdoor stores for picking up walking, climbing and biking essentials, cafes, restaurants and public houses offering food.

You can hop on one of the Windermere Lake Cruises at Waterhead Ambleside, taking the full length journey of the lake down to Lakeside and enjoy afternoon tea at the Lakeside Hotel, or visit the steam railway also at Lakeside.

N.B. The lodge has steps down from the parking area do not book if mobility is an issue.
