Boltons Tarn lodge offers a great base for couples and small families to explore the Lake District. This secluded woodland property hosts 3 bedrooms for up to 6 people and has all the modern amenties to make your stay extra special.

There is plenty of outdoor space and seating within a private enclosed decking area. There is a small covered porch if the weather is less pleasant, with steps down to a gravelled patio area with a BBQ.

The perfect Lake District getaway with easy links to all the popular hotspots including Coniston, Windermere, Ambleside and Grasmere.

Boltons Tarn lodge offering a great base for couples and small families to explore the Lake District. With views of the private paddock below sweeping up to Black Fell.

Following the steps and footpath down from the reserved parking for 2 cars to the lodge (approx. 18 steps), you’ll find a very private and sunny position on the estate. With plenty of outdoor space and seating in an enclosed decked area to enjoy the birds and scenery. There are bird feeders provided and guests can bring their own seed and nuts,to enjoy a wide variety of birds and sometimes even the red squirrel.

Entering the lodge to the open plan kitchen/dining and lounge. The modern and light kitchen is fully equipped with single electric oven with ceramic hob, microwave, toaster, and full fridge freezer. You’ll find the kitchen fully kitted out for entertaining around the extending oval dining table.

The lounge consists of 1 large leather sofa and 2 1950’s Scandinavian leather armchairs, a wall mounted electric heater, Smart TV and DVD player, a selection of DVDs, books and walking maps, a Bluetooth speaker, and if you prefer nature to entertain you, there are large picture windows allowing you to view the bird feeders and paddock below. Watch out for the roe deer and the resident horse Billy!

The master bedroom has a king bed, benefits from an en-suite shower room, bedside drawers, and lamps, wardrobe and wall mounted TV, electric heater, and patio doors leading onto the covered porch.

The twin bedroom, with full size single beds, has a fitted wardrobe and bedside cabinet with drawers, mirror, bedside lamp, and electric panel heater.

The bunk room has two slightly smaller beds at a 90° angle with ladder and bed guard for top bunk, more suitable for young children, and an under-bed wardrobe unit.

The bathroom has a shower cubicle with electric shower, toilet and wash hand basin, shaver point, electric towel rail, and an illuminated mirror.

The outside space offers an enclosed deck, great for dogs and small children, you’ll be safe in the knowledge they can wander in and out of the kitchen door without escaping.

There is a small covered porch if the weather is less pleasant you can sit out with a cup of coffee and a good book. You’ll find steps down to a gravelled patio area with a BBQ.

Boltons Tarn lodge is a perfect location for visiting the quaint Lakeland villages and you are spoilt for choice with Ambleside, Coniston, and Hawkshead all being a short drive away, and with Grasmere a casual walk away, down Deer Bolts Wood and along the lake path. Perfect for visiting Grasmere Garden Centre for a coffee and a bite to eat or one of the many country inns.
