Blackbeck Tarn is in the heart of this stunning woodland estate and commands spectacular views across some of the Lake District fells. Blackbeck Tarn is a short drive from many of the popular Lake District destinations including Ambleside, Grasmere, Windermere, Hawkshead and even Keswick is just a short 30-minute drive from this location.

On entering Blackbeck Tarn, you enter this modern, cosy open plan living, dining and kitchen area. The lounge features wood flooring with two large 2 seater sofas and an additional large 1 seater chair. The living area has a wall mounted TV with built in DVD player, electric fire to keep you cosy during cold evenings and free Wi-Fi, so you can plan your day ahead. This is a great space for reconnecting with your friends and family and will help you make some amazing memories during your stay at Blackbeck Tarn.

From the living area you enter into a dining area, which features a dining table and chairs, from here you enter into the modern country style kitchen which has everything you need for a self-catering holiday in the Lake District, including electric oven with extractor, microwave, full height fridge/freezer, toaster, kettle and has the added benefit of dishwasher.

This holiday lodge also features two bedrooms, the first is a good-sized double bedroom with wardrobes and dresser unit, with views out onto the decking area and woodland beyond. The second is a twin bedroom, with two full sized single beds and fitted wardrobes.

The modern bathroom is fitted with a 3-piece suite including WC, wash hand basin and Mira electric shower perfect for refreshing after a long day exploring the surrounding fells. There is also the addition of shave/light point and electric towel rail.

Outside the property there is ample private parking for two cars and a great enclosed decking area perfect for dogs. The outside space also features garden furniture where you can dine alfresco or just open your favourite bottle of wine and enjoy the long summer evenings from. One of the best things about Neaum Crag is the number of red squirrels in the area and guests always comment on how amazing it was to be able to catch a glimpse of one.

The property also has access to the onsite swimming pool, games room and Laundry all located just a short walk from Blackbeck Tarn. Open daily from 1st March - 15th November.

Blackbeck Tarn is a great option for families or couples looking for their next holiday in the Lake District and with it being just a 5-minute drive from Ambleside it makes a great base for exploring most of the Lake District’s attractions. We recommend heading through to Windermere and parking up near Windermere train station and walking across the road to the start of the Orrest Head walk, although one of the smaller walks in the Lake District it still offers commanding views right across Lake Windermere and takes about 30 minutes to reach the top. You might want to spend a while longer when reaching the top as the views as simply breathtaking. Once back down you should take a walk to Homeground coffee and kitchen café, which servers some of the most scrumptious cakes and has a fabulous lunch menu.
