Hard Tarn Lodge.

Hard Tarn is located toward the top of this stunning woodland estate and commands spectacular views across some of the Lake District fells. Hard Tarn is a short drive from many of the popular Lake District destinations including Ambleside, Grasmere, Coniston, Langdale and Hawkshead and makes a great base to explore everything this beautiful area has to offer.

Hard Tarn is a truly special property and has a feel of a chic hunting style lodge and its fixtures and furniture really give this property an antique rustic feel. Every aspect of this property makes you go wow, designer chairs, designer lighting and unique artwork really add to the wow factor that you feel when first walking into this lodge.

On entering Hard Tarn, you walk into the lounge area which features a 3-seater Chesterfield leather sofa, a leather chair, and an upholstered Georgian armchair. The electric wood burner effect fire and electric wall panel heater help create that cosy lodge feel during colder nights. There is a flat screen TV with built in DVD player and this whole room is tastefully decorated throughout. It also has the benefit of free Wi-Fi which is great for planning the week ahead.

Moving through the property you come to the modern well-equipped kitchen area which features a full height fridge/freezer, electric double oven with hob and extractor fan, microwave, toaster, and kettle. The properties luxury feel does not stop there, the kitchen is well equipped with the finest serving dishes, glasses and Denby crockery set. This really is a great space for stocking up on local produce and cooking some amazing dishes. The kitchen area also has an extendable dining table with 4 folding chairs.

The master bedroom features a king-sized bed and is a space of tranquillity with the main wall boasting a Rajasthani wall hanging. It also has a small electric heater, fitted double wardrobes, a dressing table and chair, bedside lamps and window overlooking the garden.

The second bedroom features twin beds with a wall mounted electric heater, fitted double wardrobe and bedside lamps.

The modern bathroom offers a white 3-piece suite with shower cubicle with an Aqualisa Quartz electric shower, large electric towel rail, and an illuminated mirror. A perfect space for refreshing after a long day exploring the Lake District fells.

The outdoor space is comfortable, mainly natural woodland, featuring a fantastic decking area and large fenced in outdoor space. LED lights around the decking illuminate the outdoor space, which is great for the evenings when enjoying a glass of wine. There is also a range of garden furniture which makes it an ideal space for those wanting to dine alfresco, a great option during the hot summer nights in the Lake District. The best part about this space is the privacy and glimpses of some of the Lake District fells and the woodland estate.

The property also has access to the onsite swimming pool, games room and Laundry all located just a short walk from Hard Tarn, open daily from 1st March - 15th November.

Hard Tarn lodge is just a short drive from many of the popular Lake District destinations and this is a great property for families, couples or a small group looking to explore this area of outstanding natural beauty. We recommend heading through to Ambleside and jumping on one of the boats at Waterhead and cruising the full length of England’s largest Lake, Windermere, down to Lakeside, from there you can either explore the railway line that runs between Lakeside and Haverthwaite, or discover the Lake District’s very own sea life center, Lakes Aquarium. There is also a great pub that serves amazing food located just a short 1.2 mile walk from here, The Swan at Newby Bridge. If your feeling a little more adventurous you could head to The Low Wood Watersports Centre located between Ambleside and Windermere where you can hire a kayak or paddleboard and explore Lake Windermere at your own leisure.
