Bore Tree Lodge.

Bore Tree Tarn is in the heart of this stunning woodland estate and commands spectacular views across some of the Lake District fells. Bore Tree Tarn is a short drive from many of the popular Lake District destinations including Grasmere, Coniston, Langdale, Hawkshead and just a 10 minute drive from the popular village of Ambleside, making it a great location to explore the Lake District from.

Bore Tree Tarn is one of the only letting “A” Frame lodges on the estate, with attractive exposed structural beams within the living and dining area.

On entering Bore Tree Tarn, you enter a hallway that opens into the open plan living and dining area. The living area features a large sofa and two designer style leather chairs and coffee table, this is a great space for socialising and reconnecting with family and friends. There is also a smart TV, reading books, maps and walking books along with Wi-Fi which are all perfect for helping you plan the week ahead.

From the living area there is a compact well-equipped kitchen area with ample space for cooking for 4 people. The kitchen features electric oven and extractor, microwave, and fridge/freezer along with a toaster, kettle, crockery, and cutlery.

Bore Tree Tarn feature two bedrooms, both of which are a good size, the first is the master bedroom which features a king bed, built in wardrobe and a large chest of drawers. The double bedroom also has woodland views from its full-length window. The second bedroom features twin beds with fitted wardrobes and a large chest of drawers.

The bathroom features a modern three-piece suite and has the added benefit of having a bath for those that love a soak to ease those aching muscles after a long day exploring the Lake District fells. The bathroom also features a Mira electric shower overhead. There is also a WC and wash basin along with a shaver/light point and an electric towel rail.

Outside the property there is a large outside space with ample parking and decking area with garden furniture, perfect for spending the long summer evenings enjoying the last rays of the Lake District sun as it sets overhead or taking morning coffee or tea before heading out for a long day on the fells. The property is set on a level and has the benefit of not having any steps or steep paths to climb, making it a perfect option for those with walking difficulties.

If you don’t want to leave your dog at home, then this is the perfect option for those looking for a pet friendly holiday accommodation near Ambleside as Bore Tree Tarn accepts dogs, so you can make sure they experience the delights of the Lake District that await.

The property also has access to the onsite swimming pool, games room and Laundry all located just a short walk from Bore Tree Tarn, open daily from 1st March - 15th November.

Bore Tree Tarn is a great option for families or couples looking for their next holiday in the Lake District and with it being just a 5 minute drive from Ambleside it makes a great base for exploring most of the Lake District’s attractions. We recommend heading into Ambleside and walking the Fairfield Horseshoe which is a 10 mile walk and will take around 5 hours to complete, there are so many photo opportunities on this walk that you might want to add another hour to this. Then why not head into Ambleside and grab a bite to eat from the popular Copper Pot café.

“Just returned from another fabulous week staying in the Bore Tree Tarn (where we have stayed many times over the last 20 years) and are already looking forward to the next visit! Can't recommend staying at Neaum Crag enough! Site is very well managed and in a beautiful location - perfect for walks and exploring in any direction, with pubs and restaurants within walking distance. This is a hidden gem! Heather kept us very well informed in the run up to our holiday.”
