Blackbeck Tarn lodge has a fully enclosed deck perfect for families and dogs. It has comfy outdoor furniture for enjoying the fresh air and to listen to the abundant bird song. Keep an eye out for red squirrels which have now been sighted on the estate on a daily basis. With parking for two vehicles at the property and additional parking on site you can choose to leave the car for the duration of your stay with walking routes in all directions.

Enter to the open plan lounge/kitchen/dining area. The modern country style kitchen has plenty of storage, electric oven with extractor, microwave, full fridge/freezer, with the added bonus of a dishwasher. The lounge consists of two large leather sofas and a comfy chair for relaxing on while watching TV with built in DVD, This property also has the added bonus of Wi-Fi to plan the next days adventures.

The double bedroom has built in wardrobes and dresser unit. There is a decent sized twin bedroom fitted with full sized single beds also with fitted wardrobe space. The bathroom has a modern three-piece suite with shower cubicle with a Mira electric shower, WC and wash hand basin. There is a shaver/light point and an electric towel rail.

Out and About

Set amongst peaceful woodland on a private estate within the Lake District National Park, Blackbeck Tarn is the perfect location for a relaxing break. After a long hike on the fells what better way to relax then in your own wooden alpine style lodge, or why not head down to one of two traditional pubs which are within walking distance from Neaum Crag Estate.

With a host of excellent Lake District dog friendly country pubs within both walking and driving distances, you will find the most recommended establishments within the welcome folder within Blackbeck Tarn.

A base for your holiday close to the Langdale Valley is the obvious choice for any outdoor enthusiast.  Whether you are looking for hiking, climbing, mountain biking or a leisurely sale on Lake Windermere or Coniston water. Neaum Crag allows you to walk from the doorstep or to take the main bus route from a short distance walk off site. With buses on the hour within the holiday season.

Grizedale Forest nestles between lakes Windermere and Coniston. Activities range from gentle walks to swinging through the trees on GoApe, enjoying a leisurely meal in the Grizedale Café to exhilarating mountain bike rides. Choose from easy to hard bike trails within the forest or just potter round on foot.

Ambleside is just a few miles away. The vibrant village centre is well worth a visit; whether you like to relax while sipping coffee in one of the many cafes, visiting historic sites such as the roman fort at Waterhead, or strolling to Lake Windermere for a lake cruise to Bowness or Lakeside. There are plenty of outdoor stores for picking up walking, climbing and biking essentials or for advice on where best to visit the Tourist Information and Post Office offers help throughout the year.
