We are not too far away from this awesome place called Rheged which is a lovely entertainment venue full of artisan food shops, exhibitions, pottery classes and soft play for kids as well as a brilliant little cinema. It’s a perfect day out for a family of all ages, especially if the weather is to be desired (there is a reason why it’s the ‘Lake District’ after all…)
Rheged host various events and in August they are hosting the first ever Cumbrian Vegan Festival.
With stalls and demonstrations on vegan cooking and ingredients it truly is a great opportunity to get inspired, even if you are not totally meat free or vegan yourself. They will also have some great show-only offers for you if you do fancy buying anything. It’s only £2 per ticket too, which is an absolute bargain.
To find out more, please check out the Cumbrian Vegan Festival website here.
Rheged pride themselves on offering lots of local ingredients in their shops so you can find yourself something nice for tea whilst staying at one of our gorgeous lodges. Well known local chef Peter Sidwell also has a small restaurant on site offering wonderful, filling meals so you can treat the family to lunch.
It is an easy place to get to, about five minutes off the M6. Find out more about upcoming events at Rheged here.
